Bath Bachfest Members 2021
Bath Bachfest relies on private donations and sponsorship and is only able to continue each year with support from its music lovers. In 2021, this support is more important than ever.
We would be extremely grateful if you could consider renewing or joining as a member of the Bath Bachfest Society.
There are the 3 usual memberships: Gold, Silver, Bronze. Please be as generous as you are able. At all levels, you will be recognised for your support and receive a complimentary copy of the Bath Bachfest programme notes online.
Please note that memberships are valid for one year only.
Sponsor a concert in Bath Bachfest 2021
We are also looking for sponsors to support our closing concert with The English Concert on Saturday 20 February performing a delightful programme of Bach and Handel, including the 4th and 5th Brandenburg Concerti. Again, you will be recognised for your support and receive a complimentary copy of the Bath Bachfest programme notes online.
In addition, although we are unable to offer many of our usual membership and sponsorship benefits, in partnership with Wiltshire Music Centre we are delighted to offer all Bachfest 2021 supporters the following:
- 15% discount on Friends membership for the Wiltshire Music Centre (from £30)* – to include priority booking, advance brochure mailing, option to reserve tickets and invitations to special events. Find out more at wiltshiremusic.org.uk/Friends
*Discount code provided with Bath Bachfest membership confirmation
Please complete the form here, if you would like to play an important part in Bath Bachfest 2021, by supporting as a Member/ Concert Sponsor. Your donation will directly help the festival to maintain its high artistic standards and provide work for our professional musicians at this difficult time.
How to leave a gift in your will
A valid will is the only guaranteed way for your wishes to be carried out and for your legacy to reach the Festival.
HOW TO MAKE A NEW WILL
Making a will isn’t complicated and needn’t be expensive:
First, work out how much you have to leave, including the total sum of your property, money and possessions, less any outstanding mortgages or loans.
Decide who you want to benefit from your will. For example, your family, friends and favourite charities or good causes. Next, appoint a professional adviser – usually a solicitor or other will writing professional. Then you need to choose executors to make sure your wishes are carried out. These can be professional advisers, friends or family members – or a combination to suit you.
Finally, keep your will safe and make sure your executors know where to find it. Keep the original copy with your solicitor in secure storage and retain a photocopy in your filing system.
HOW TO UPDATE AN EXISTING WILL
It is vital to review your will at intervals to ensure it still reflects your wishes and circumstances. For instance, if you move house or get married, or someone mentioned in your will dies, you may need to change it. Speak to your solicitor or will writing professional about the simplest way to revise your will quickly and cost-effectively.

SUGGESTED LEGACY WORDING TO TAKE TO YOUR SOLICITOR
If you wish to remember Bath Bachfest managed by Bath Mozartfest Ltd in your Will you may like to take the following wording suggestion for a pecuniary bequest (a set sum) to your solicitor. They will ensure that your wishes are accurately followed:
“I give the sum of… pounds to Bath Bachfest managed by Bath Mozartfest Ltd (Registered Charity No 1040455) of 7-9 North Parade Buildings, Bath BA1 1NS and the receipt of the Honorary Treasurer or other proper officer for the time being of Bath Bachfest managed by Bath Mozartfest Ltd shall be a complete discharge to my Executors.
If at my death any charity named as a beneficiary in this Will or Codicil hereto has changed its name or amalgamated with or transferred its assets to another body then my Executors shall give effect to any gift made to such charity as if it had been made (in the first case) to the body in its changed name or (in the second place) to the body which results from such amalgamation or to which such transfer has been made”
If you wish to make a residuary bequest (a proportion rather than the whole) you may like to include the following wording:
“I give (%) of the residue of my real and personal estate which I can dispose of by will to Bath Bachfest managed by Bath Mozartfest Ltd (Registered Charity 1040455) of 7-9 North Parade Buildings, Bath BA1 1NS and the receipt of the Honorary Treasurer or other proper officer for the time being of Bath Bachfest managed by Bath Mozartfest Ltd shall be a complete discharge to my Executors”.
