“The voices of Andrew Carwood and his cohorts could probably start a blaze in the Antarctic” said The Times critic appreciatively. Expect the same high quality, purity, emotional directness and vocal colour for which the ensemble is famed but hopefully no flames at the Bachfest. This thoughtfully themed programme, entitled “Sing to the Lord”, features glorious sacred music of the Baroque period by J S Bach and his forebears alongside works by Melchior Franck, Johannes Eccard, Heinrich Schütz and Johann Pachelbel.
